For amateurs as well as those with some experience, this practical workshop will provide you with the basics of book designing.

The focus of this workshop is on creating a book based on size as well as page and image count, and gives you the tools and knowhow necessary to prepare your book for going on press. We will explain the basics of QuarkXPress, discuss design and sequencing, and review important elements of layout and cover design. The workshop will also cover aspects of prepress as it has an impact on design ideas and layout, as well as a brief introduction on book production processes.

From crafting the perfect pitch and press release to putting together the premier package and following it up with the right touch, Miss Rosen will equip you with the tools necessary for getting your work the attention it deserves—and hopefully, sponsored.
