Nigel Parry began his photographic career in 1989. His images of famed cultural and political figures have appeared in W, Vanity Fair, The New York Times Magazine, GQ, Esquire, Premiere, InStyle, Newsweek, Time, The Sunday Times of London, and AMICA, and have been exhibited worldwide. In May 1999, he became the first portrait photographer invited to exhibit at the Cannes Film Festival. His recent awards include the Hasselblad Master Photographer, Photo District News Award, and several from American Photography. His books SHARP (powerHouse Books, 2000) and PRECIOUS (powerHouse Books, 2004) have both received wide critical acclaim. Parry is involved in several charities, including the Starlight Children’s Foundation and Operation Smile. He lives and works in New York.
Tom Ford is among the most highly respected and successful designers today. During his remarkable ten years as Creative Director of Gucci Group, sales increased from $230 million to almost $3 billion, making Gucci one of the largest and most profitable luxury brands in the world. Just one year after his dramatic departure from Gucci Group in 2004, Ford formed his own company and created his own brand. A beauty and eyewear collection launched in 2005 and a much anticipated menswear collection will debut this fall. He is the winner of numerous design awards.
Roger Rosenblatt is a journalist, author, playwright, and teacher. He has received a Peabody and an Emmy Award, as well as two George Polk Awards, awards from the American Bar Association, the Overseas Press Club, and others. Rosenblatt has held posts as literary editor of The New Republic, columnist and editor-at-large for Life, editor of U.S. News & World Report, columnist and editorial board member of The Washington Post, and Editor-at-Large of Time, Inc. His work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair, The New Republic, Esquire, and elsewhere.
