For the book launch of Joseph Rivera’s Vandal Squad, former members of the New York City Transportation Police Vandal Squad, also his old co-workers, sat down with graffiti artists and activists at powerHouse Arena for a panel discussion. The book caused quite a ripple in the street art community as, told from the perspective of a cop, many felt it made the artists sound like fools, while simultaneously glorifying the work of graffiti legends.
