Photographer John Mack was interviewed this morning on The Today Show to kick off Revealing Mexico Week. The interview took place in front of a Revealing Mexico installation in the Channel Gardens at Rockefeller Center.
According to Mack, the book—like the festivities that punctuate Revealing Mexico Week—is intended to “bring Mexico to international attention for the right reasons.” Surely, against the recent wave of extremely violent media reports of Mexico’s drug wars, Mack’s efforts are not only warranted, but a symbol of the photographer’s dedication to the country of which he has become so enamored.
