George Mott
Foro Italico

Boxer by Guiseppe Cecconi. Donated by the province of Ascoli Piceno. This is an idealized portrait of the boxer Primo Carnera,
who, though the world-champion heavyweight from 1933–1934 was defeated by Max Bear in New York, a fact suppressed by the Fascist press of the period.
Detail of Pistoia's statue of an athlete, bolding a ball.
