I havent been to Japan in a minute, well lord knows how long I been to Japan but anyway the flight was long but we made it. Got in on a day off and that WAS supposed to be rest time. NOT. I woke up at 3am and couldnt do back to sleep! I stayed up and worked a lil and went to sound check. Soundcheck drifted into the show and before you know it we only had an hour before we had to be onstage. I went to the room, washed my face, brushed my teeth and changed clothes. I sat up in the bed and had the laptop on my lap and then next thing I know the phone woke me up. I ran downstairs and met the stage guy and we RAN over to the venue!! I was late, I knew I was but I had no clue that THE ROOTS were starting on time!! They never start on time any other time so why worry right? WRONG!! They were already on the song that I was spitting on( which is one of my favorites from the new album) Im onstage asleep..literally still asleep. I fumbled on that play. Everyone is laughing at me, Im hearing bongs from all over the place. I think the chick in the front row bonged me! Then we do MY first song and I fumbled on that?!?!?!? The first verse anyway, I feltl like an ass with a big hole around it. By the time we got to the 2nd verse I got it together. I swear I dont think I woke up until we did Proceed. Its two shows a night and they 2nd one went over cool but damn I drowned yall. Watery grave style.:(
*?ueditor note: skillz must have us mistaken for the Lyricist Lounge tour 2001. Ain't NO way in hell ANY of yall can testify to looking at yall watches on some "when the hell they starting?!?!?!" shit. you may have been on some "when the hell they stopping?" shit....but never late. EVER

"It's not actually that outrageous when you talk to them about it," Johanna Lenander says, referring to the traveling "fantasy hair" showcase that is the subject of the new book she wrote with her husband, photographer David Yellen. But one flip through "Hair Wars" (powerHouse Books), a collection of colorful portraits displaying triumphs in styling (and over gravity), and the definition of outrageous seems entirely subjective. Started in the mid-eighties by party promoter David Humphries (a.k.a Hump the Grinder), READ ON
