Marie Claire‘s March 2013 issue cites If You Knew Me You Would Care by Women For Women International founder Zainab Salbi, with photos by Rennio Maifredi, at no. 2 on its “What we love about March” list. Salbi and Maifredi traveled to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Afghanistan, Rwanda, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, interviewing women who have lived through violence, poverty and conflict in war torn countries.
The project was first showcased in Marie Claire‘s October 2011 issue.
